ماليزيا تستضيف المنتدى الحضري العالمي 2018

أعلن وزير الإعمار والإسكان والحكم المحلي الماليزي نوح عمر أن بلاده ستستضيف المنتدى الحضري العالمي التاسع لمدة ستة أيام، من المتوقع أن يبدأ من 7 فبراير 2018، وسيقام في مركز المؤتمرات بكوالالمبور.

وأوضح عمر في تصريح إعلامي، أنه من المتوقع أن يحضر أكثر من 25 ألف مشارك من جميع أنحاء العالم، في هذا المنتدى الذي ينظمه برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية كل سنتين،  موضحا أنه سيصبح أفضل منصة لترويج ماليزيا، لا سيما كوالالمبور التي تشهد نموا كبيرا.

وأضاف أن ممثل الأمم المتحدة عبر عن ارتياحه بالتسهيلات المتاحة في كوالالمبور مثل قاعات المؤتمرات، ووسائل النقل العام، والفنادق، مفيدا أن المنتدى سيناقش مختلف القضايا المتعلقة بالتخطيط الحضري، ويمكن أن تصبح كوالالمبور واحدة من الأمثلة للتنمية الحضرية الحديثة.
